As I am using the WIMS service on a regular basis with "difficult" students, I discover new usages induced by its complete freedom : WIMS is a free software, so every student can copy the exercises, hence their solutions. Paradoxically, students do not become lazy, and they learn better and more when they are assessed homeworks based on this server. Why so ? The talk will detail some of the strong anti-cheating features of WIMS, and the resulting behaviour which I observe with my students when they are left free to use it : they begin to try cheating, and they keep on with a vertuous mutual training.
